To venture to a new filming experience, Atonisla Studios decided to tackle documentary films. With a buffing start up idea from our very own Ate Mayette Atienza (search her name :D) and a prospect: Mr. Alan Monreal, the head dreamer of Damgo Sa Kaugmaon - a local NGO that started even before the Yolanda (Haiyan) Typhoon that struck the Northern Visayas region.

We started by making proposal and submitting it to Mr. Alan personally. We discussed the project and its aim to shed light to his project in return of improving our skills and of course, earn a little money with our passion about filming.

With ate Mayette's approval and Mr. Alan's go signal, the journey started!

The team traveled across Bantayan island to visit Botigues Island to meet the fishermen benefactor of the said NGOs. We went to Kodia, Bantayan, Atop-Atop, Kangkaibe and interviewed a lot of people from different barangays in Bantayan island itself, asking about their lives before and after the Yolanda event and how Damgo Sa Kaugmaon NGO changed the course of their lives.

After around 3 days of shooting and about a month of post production. DoP by Sef and Raffy, While field and closer shots by Roberth and Clint. Editing, Compositing, applying background music mainly done by Sef and Naz, researches and interview conducted by April, Transportation and assistance by JoXyl (who was new at that time) and followed by days of submitting, revising, submiting again, revising again and so on.

And we finally produced the output that Mr. Alan itself wanted (hurry! im sleepy!). Note that this video has a lot of removed clips so expect "deeper" story on this film :)
