Summer in 2016 and I was working with Atonisla Studios when my brother Sef Santillan told me about his good friends he met during his Bacollywood experience in Bacolod, he told me that a certain NGO called Operation Blessing Philippines is in need of an Article writer and Photographer for the turn-over of their water desalinating machine intended to help in reducing the damage caused by drought in Lipayran Island, an islet located close to the mainland Bantayan Island. I was so confident because I get to practise my writing and photography skills that I developed while I was in college working as an Art Editor of The Skyblazers Publication. So I told Sef: "Why not?" The next morning, I received a call from a lady named Femina Laya Canua and confirmed my appointment as official Article writer and Photographer in Lipayran. What my mind was telling me was not actually the experience..I was thought, How much will I get paid? nyahahahah! here are the photos that I took from the site. Nope its not edited. Just a little color adjustment ;)
On September 26, 2016, Ms. Canua informed me of my article published at Operation Blessing official facebook page and website. I thought, okay...is this real? I'm was so very-much-a lot many-more-really-happy!
It was thanks for Atonisla Studios for letting me "borrow-again" their camera and the computer i used to encode my article. Also special thanks to my beautiful girlfriend/grammar nazi/typo nazi/supporter Richel Commission for her never ending support at that time. And my grandmother who was constantly nagging me to get a job. I love you all :)

Oh btw, it turns out all my services was actually for free.It was also my fault since I did not checked their website as what she suggested first when she called. hahahaha. Nevermind the money. I was able to take home a very big bag full of fresh seaweeds anyway a fresh new ideas and experience for film making. It was also this time that I realized how important seaweeds actually are in keeping the environment of the sea and how it helps the people in one way or another. I am planning to make a documentation about "Guso" or seaweeds farming but I'm afraid it might take more funds and manpower to do so and considering the Capitalists that I might get trouble into... maybe lets wind up for now. I'm not giving up on this documentation, Im just waiting for God who knows the perfect timing for everything. Peace!
